How To Do Face Clean Up At Home
Every woman wishes to have beautiful and glowing skin. But, in our daily life, the skin is continuously affected by many external agents like pollutants, sun rays, and chemicals. Hence, the skin needs regular clean up. No one has time to take care of their skin in the busy schedule.
If the skin gets the routine clean up you will get a healthy and glowing skin which keeps you relaxed. Here is a step by step process to clean up the face. All the face packs in the cleanup process can be prepared by the natural ingredients available at home. At the end of the cleanup, you will get relieved from various skin issues and the beauty of the skin will be enhanced.
STEP – 1
CLEANSING
Clean your face with your regular face wash. Don’t use hot water for washing as it dries up the skin. Pat dry the skin with a soft towel.
YOGURT
- Just apply a thin layer of yogurt to your face.
- Gently massage it with your fingertips.
- Let it sit for 10 minutes and wash with plain water.
- Pat dry the skin with a soft towel.
- This cleanser will remove the dirt from the skin.
STEP – 2
STEAMING
- Steam your face for 5-10 minutes.
- Later wipe off your face gently with a facial tissue.
- It removes all the impurities from the skin.
- Then, massage your face with an ice cube.
- It will tighten the pores.
STEP – 3
SCRUBBING
Scrub your face regularly to eliminate the dead cells and impurities from the skin.
LEMON AND SUGAR SCRUB
Ingredients:
- Lemon – 1/2
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
- Honey – 1 tablespoon
Procedure:
- Extract the lemon juice into a bowl.
- To this add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of honey.
- Then, add 1/2 cup of sugar to the above mixture.
- Combine the ingredients well to form a thick paste.
- If the sugar is not enough you can add a little bit more.
- Apply the mixture to the face.
- Gently massage it in a circular motion.
- Permit it to stay for 15-20 minutes.
- Clean off your face with a warm water.
- Pat dry the skin with a soft towel.
Lemon contains citric acid which cleans up the pores and enhances the complexion. Sugar removes dead cells. Olive protects the skin from acne, tan, scars etc. Honey protects the skin from wrinkles.
STEP – 4
FACE PACK
In this step use a moisturizing face pack which gives soft and glowing skin tone. Here is a homemade face pack which is very safe and effective.
PAPAYA FACE PACK
Ingredients:
- Papaya – 1/4 cup
- Sandalwood powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Aloe vera gel – 1/2 teaspoon
- Rose water – 4-5 drops
Procedure:
- Take 1/4 cup of papaya and mash it well with a spoon.
- To this papaya paste add sandalwood powder and aloe vera gel.
- Add few drops of rose water to the above mixture.
- Combine the ingredients well to form a uniform paste.
- Apply the paste to your face evenly.
- Permit it to stay for about 20 minutes.
- Clean off your face with normal water.
- Repeat this for 2-3 times a week.
Papain enzymes present in papaya exfoliates the skin and gives radiant look. Sandalwood washes off the dead skin cells and enhances the skin complexion.
STEP – 5
TONING
After face pack, use homemade toner on your face. This toner removes the remaining dirt after scrubbing. It also maintains the skin’s pH levels.
CUCUMBER TONER
Ingredient:
- Cucumber – 1/2 piece
Procedure:
- Take 1/2 of a fresh cucumber and peel off its skin.
- Chop the cucumber into little pieces.
- Transfer the pieces to a pan and pour water till the cucumber is immersed.
- Heat the pan over a low flame for about 5-7 minutes.
- Blend the cucumber with water.
- Let it cool down for few minutes and filter the juice.
- Apply the toner to the face evenly by using a cotton ball.
Cucumber solves many skin issues like dark spots, wrinkles, tan, and dark circles. Its natural cooling properties keep the skin always fresh.
STEP – 6
MOISTURIZATION
In the last step, use a nourishing cream on your face and neck. Regularly moisturize your skin before going to sleep. This makes your skin to breathe at night and feel fresh in the morning.
ALMOND AND MILK
Ingredients:
- Milk – 2 tablespoons
- Almonds – 10
Procedure:
- Take 10 almonds and soak it in water for the whole night.
- Grind the almonds by adding 2 tablespoons of milk.
- If required add some amount of water and mix well to form a uniform paste.
- Apply the paste to your face evenly.
- Massage it gently for 2 minutes.
- Permit it to stay for 15-20 minutes.
- Wash of your face with normal water.
- Try the process 2-3 times a week.
- You will get a soft and healthy skin.
Milk is rich in vitamin B, calcium, potassium, antioxidants and proteins.Hence, this pack acts as an ultimate moisturizer for skin. It also rejuvenates the damaged skin and locks the moisture in the skin.
